About Moscow PA
The Borough of Moscow was founded in 1908, but the location and name originates in the 19th century. Moscow was originally named Drinker’s Beech, after a Philadelphia Quaker named Henry Drinker who owned three square miles of property in the area. Drinker Turnpike still exists to this day, and is also known as Main St or Route 435. Moscow is home to the North Pocono School District. Moscow has a number of locally-owned restaurants, including Ferri’s Pizza, China Star, and Delish on Main.
